Installation elements of the Tegui BTicino 2-wire system
To achieve the maximum performance of the Tegui 2-wire video intercom system, it is essential to use the correct installation elements: the appropriate cable, address configurators for each dwelling, BUS termination accessories, and, if required, the video control interface for separate cameras.
1. Installation Cable — Ref. 336904
Tegui recommends using its specific cable for the 2-wire system to achieve the maximum distances between panels and indoor units compared to other cables on the market.
| Reference | Description | See price |
|---|---|---|
| 336904 | Cable with 2 twisted conductors of 0.6 mm². Suitable for burial in conduit or ducts. 200-meter coil. | Check |
Technical note: Using cable 336904 allows reaching the maximum distances specified in the installation tables of the 2-wire system. With cables of smaller gauge or lower quality, the maximum distances are significantly reduced.
2. Address Configurators
The configurators are the elements that assign a unique address to each dwelling within the 2-wire system. Each indoor monitor needs a configurator with its dwelling number to receive only the calls that correspond to it.
Configurator kits
| Reference | Description | See price |
|---|---|---|
| 388085 | Configuration kit for up to 20 dwellings and 1 outdoor panel. Includes: 13 units configurator 1, 3 units configurator 2, 2 units of each configurator from 3 to 9, and 1 configurator clamp. | Check |
| 3501K | Complete configuration kit. Includes: 10 units of each configurator from 0 to 9, 2 green removable 2-contact connectors, 1 configurator clamp, and 1 adjustment screwdriver. | Check |
Individual configurators (box of 10 units)
| Reference | Digit | See price |
|---|---|---|
| 3501/0 | Configurator 0 | Check |
| 3501/1 | Configurator 1 | Check |
| 3501/2 | Configurator 2 | Check |
| 3501/3 | Configurator 3 | Check |
| 3501/4 | Configurator 4 | Check |
| 3501/5 | Configurator 5 | Check |
| 3501/6 | Configurator 6 | Check |
| 3501/7 | Configurator 7 | Check |
| 3501/8 | Configurator 8 | Check |
| 3501/9 | Configurator 9 | Check |
| 3501/JMP | JMP Configurator (box of 10 units) | Check |
How do configurators work? Each dwelling is identified with a combination of digits (e.g., dwelling 12 = configurator 1 + configurator 2). They are physically inserted into the indoor monitor connector. The 2-wire system supports up to 100 different addresses.
3. Installation Accessories
| Reference | Description | Installer price |
|---|---|---|
| 3499 | Line terminator. Must be placed at the end of BUS sections that end at an indoor station or accessory without a closing microswitch. Packaging: 5 units. | 5,41 € — View product |
| 3515 | Green removable terminal 2 contacts for 2-wire BUS. Packaging: 10 units. | Check |
4. Video Control — Separate Camera Interface
Ref. 347400 — Video Signal Converter Interface
The 347400 It is a video signal converter interface from coaxial to 2-wire BUS for 12 Vdc cameras. It allows:
- Power the camera directly from the interface itself
- Associate it with an audio panel as an additional camera in the video intercom installation
- Add visual surveillance in areas without a street panel (garage, garden, back entrance…)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is it mandatory to use the 336904 cable in the Tegui 2-wire system?
It is not mandatory, but highly recommended. The 336904 cable (2 twisted conductors of 0.6 mm²) allows reaching the maximum distances specified by Tegui. With cables of smaller gauge, the maximum distances between panel and monitor are considerably reduced.
How is the address assigned to each home with the configurators?
Each home is identified with a combination of digits physically inserted into the monitor connector. For example, home 1º A can be address “11” (configurator 1 + configurator 1), 1º B “12”, etc. The 388085 kit includes the quantities needed for up to 20 homes.
When is the 3499 line terminator necessary?
The 3499 terminator must be placed at the end of each BUS segment that ends at an indoor station or accessory that does not have a DIN micro switch for closure. Without the terminator, the BUS may experience signal problems and erratic operation.
What is the 347400 interface for?
Allows adding an additional camera (surveillance camera with coaxial output) to the 2-wire system, making it accessible from the indoor monitors. Useful for monitoring garages, gardens, or secondary entrances without installing a full street panel.
