Frequently asked questions
- Can I replace only the intercom without changing the panel?
- Yes, in most cases. The T-71U is compatible with almost all existing 4+N systems. Provide us with the reference of your current panel and we will confirm.
- What is the difference between an intercom and a video intercom?
- The audio intercom only allows you to talk to the caller. The video intercom adds a camera on the panel and a screen on the indoor terminal, allowing you to see the visitor before opening.
- The doorbell does not ring when pressed from outside. What should I check?
- Check the doorbell jumper on the intercom (position N, P, or M depending on the available transformer) and that the doorbell wire is properly connected to the panel.
- Can I mix Series 7 and Series 8 components?
- It is not recommended. Although both use BUS SCS, the Series 8 terminals are optimized to work with the Series 8 panel. For mixed installations, check compatibility.
