The BTicino 351500 is a Sfera audio/video module with a 5 MP HQ wide-angle camera for 2-wire SCS BUS video door entry systems. It is the electronic component that captures images, enables communication with the visitor, and manages call and door-opening functions in a compatible installation.
It is not a complete outdoor panel. It must be combined with a front panel, support, frame, and mounting elements, as well as the call modules required by the project. This guide explains how to distinguish these parts and what to check before installing or replacing a Sfera panel.

What the 351500 is and what you are buying
The reference identifies the audio/video electronic module, not an indoor monitor or a complete kit with a power supply. The catalogue expressly states that it must be completed with a finished front panel.
Therefore, buying the 351500 does not guarantee that you will have a panel ready to install. First, you must define how many calls it will have, the finish, the mounting method, and the system components.

The data comes from page 67 of the Tegui 2026 catalogue. Angles from other cameras must not be attributed to it, nor should sensor resolution be confused with the visible resolution on any indoor monitor.
HQ camera: what it means for installation
The 119° horizontal and 92° vertical field of view allows for a wide frame. Even so, the result depends on the location, height, obstacles, and the visitor's position.
Before choosing the position of the panel
Check whether the access point is set back, recessed, or has side elements that conceal the visitor. Do not choose the location solely because it matches the old opening. The wide-angle camera does not eliminate the need to plan the location.
Lighting: white LEDs, not infrared
The documented lighting uses white LEDs. We do not present the 351500 as an infrared camera or promise a specific image under any nighttime conditions. The catalog also describes an optical sensor for turning on the backlight at night.
The parts of an Sfera panel: a module is not a front panel
| Element | Function in the composition | Error to avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Electronic module 351500 | Audio, video, and system functions | Believing it includes the entire exterior assembly |
| Finish front panel | Corresponding exterior finish for the module and planned calls | Buying one from another family or configuration |
| Additional button modules | Expanding the calls when the project requires them | Adding them automatically for every residence |
| Support and frame | Assembling the mounting set for the selected range | Mixing New and Robur parts because they look similar |
| Surface box or assembly | Resolve exterior mounting and installation | Assuming the previous recess or box will fit |
The power supply, wiring, lock, and indoor stations are also part of the project, even if they are not elements of the panel front.
Sfera New and Sfera Robur: select the complete family
The catalog lists the 351500 in the Sfera New and Robur module tables. The front panels and mechanical assemblies must be selected for the corresponding family. The fact that the electronic module is listed in both tables does not mean that all its accessories can be mixed.
Sfera New video front panels
| Reference | Description of the selection table |
|---|---|
| 351301 | Wide-angle audio/video front panel |
| 351311 | Wide-angle audio/video front panel with one button |
| 351321 | Wide-angle audio/video front panel with two buttons in two columns |
Sfera Robur video front panels
| Reference | Description of the selection table |
|---|---|
| 351305 | Wide-angle audio/video front panel |
| 351315 | Wide-angle audio/video front panel with one button |
| 351325 | Wide-angle audio/video front panel with two buttons in two columns |
These references come from pages 63 and 65 of the catalog. Before purchasing, verify the finish, layout, and mechanical assembly. They are not a complete list of materials for every installation.
Buttons: how to size the calls
The 351500 manages up to 98 button calls using additional modules in two columns as specified in the catalog. This maximum does not mean that the standalone module includes 98 buttons or that the entire system can be sized based on this figure alone.
Additional module 352100
The tables show the 352100 as an eight-button module in two columns, with front panels selected according to the layout and range. It is not mandatory to add it to every installation with 351500: a one-residence setup and a panel with many calls are different projects.
Connection cable between button modules
The catalog identifies the 354000 for connecting more than one button module, with a length of 470 mm. Its selection must match the planned composition and layout.
Calls do not equal the building's full capacity
The number of calls managed by a module alone does not determine the number of monitors, distances, power supply, risers, and nodes. These aspects must be dimensioned according to the system rules.
Flush-mounted or surface-mounted
The tables on pages 62 and 64 distinguish boxes, supports, and frames for Sfera New and Robur. First define the family, number of modules, and their distribution.
Flush-mounted installation
Before opening or reusing a recess, check the dimensions, depth, support, frame, and compatibility with the existing box. Do not replace one box reference with another based solely on the fact that both are advertised for one module.
Surface-mounted installation
The assembly must use the specific components corresponding to the range. Check cable routing, mounting, and exposure. A surface-mounted assembly is not obtained simply by omitting the flush-mounting box.
Lock and local button connections
The catalog describes connecting the lock to terminals S+ and S−: 18 V, 4 A pulse, and 250 mA hold current, with a maximum of 30 ohms under the stated conditions. It also identifies PL terminals for a local door-release button.
These data are documented specifications, not an instruction for connecting any lock or automation device. The installer must check the diagram and specifications of the opening device. A door motor and an electric lock must not be treated as equivalent loads.
Physical or PC-based configuration
The documentation confirms configuration either physically or with a PC and specific software. To choose the method, values, and procedure, consult the instructions applicable to the reference and revision.
We do not include combinations of configurators or a software sequence inferred from other modules. Nor should the configuration of an old reference be transferred automatically to the 351500.
Audio signaling and adjustments
The catalog describes front-panel LEDs for opening, active communication, forwarded call, and system busy status. Their indication and behavior must be verified using the manual and the system configuration.
The speaker and microphone volume can be adjusted. If the audio fails, first check the connections and system: changing the volume does not necessarily resolve a configuration or wiring problem.
Compatibility and replacement of an old module
It is not a universal replacement for every two-wire camera. For a replacement, we need the old reference, panel, front-panel family, configuration, power supply, and indoor stations.
What information to send before buying
- Reference of the old electronic module and a photograph of the label.
- Photographs of the complete panel and its front panels.
- Identification of Sfera New, Robur, or another family.
- Number of buttons and residences.
- Power supply and indoor unit references.
- Configurator and connection records obtained securely.
- Which functions fail and which should be retained.
Tegui and BTicino remain separate brands. The module reference is BTicino 351500, although the documentation is consulted in the Tegui 2026 catalogue. This does not establish automatic equivalence between equipment from the two brands.
Practical layout examples
One residence and one button
Define the family and finish, and review the single-button front panel listed in the corresponding table. Complete the mounting, power supply, door release, and indoor unit. Do not add an eight-button module unnecessarily.
Two independent calls
The table covers video front panels with two buttons in two columns. The complete layout and configuration must be checked for the planned calls, not just the front panel.
Multi-residence panel
Select additional modules, front panels, and the arrangement of boxes and frames. Then size the power supply, wiring, and indoor units; the limit of 98 calls does not replace system design.
Replacing a panel while retaining accessories
Identify references and the condition of the parts before assuming they can be reused. The fact that a panel is called Sfera does not guarantee that any existing front panel or support matches the new layout.
Installer's work sequence
- Define calls, access points, indoor units, and functions.
- Identify existing references and technology if this is a renovation.
- Select the family, modules, front panels, and complete mounting arrangement.
- Size the power supply, wiring, and system components correctly.
- Consult the specific manual and wiring diagram before connecting.
- Configure and check all calls, image, audio, and door release.
- Keep the layout, references, and configuration for maintenance.
Electrical connections, configuration, and commissioning must be carried out by qualified professionals following the applicable safety measures.
Common problems: initial checks
| Symptom | What to check | What not to assume |
|---|---|---|
| There is no image | Compatibility, power supply, wiring, and system configuration | That the sensor is faulty without checking the installation |
| The framing is not suitable | Position, height, and obstacles | That the wide-angle lens allows any placement |
| A call does not come through | Button layout and configuration | That all push buttons are assigned automatically |
| The door does not open | Lock or actuator diagram and characteristics | That any load can be connected directly |
| Poor audio | Connections, settings, and behavior of indoor units | That increasing the volume will resolve all faults |
The table guides the review; it does not establish a definitive diagnosis.
