What video intercom system does a community need?
The choice of system mainly depends on two factors: the number of homes and the existing wiring in the building. Currently, there are two main technologies:
- 2-wire system (digital): The most modern and recommended for new installations or upgrades. It only requires 2 conductors to connect all monitors, regardless of the number of homes. Compatible with HD video and WiFi.
- 4+N system (5 wires, analog): Classic technology found in many buildings. It requires 5 conductors per home. It still works properly but is no longer manufactured in new models.
How much does a video intercom for a community cost?

Can I use the existing wiring?
If your community already has 2-wire wiring installed, the upgrade is very simple and economical: just replace the outdoor panel and indoor monitors, reusing the existing cable. If the wiring is 4+N (5 wires), there are compatibility adapters that allow connecting modern 2-wire monitors to the old wiring without rewiring.
